Research

The cardiovascular (CV) system and the autonomic nervous system (ANS) are tightly linked in both a top-down and bottom-up manner. The Neural Interaction Lab is developing hardware to noninvasively record electrical, optical, and other signals from the CV system for various clinical and ambulatory applications. Using this data, various mathematical models are being formulated to help understand the changes in the ANS under various disease states as well as in health.
